Here is how this all went down in my head. 

Them: “We’re not called The Morning Benders anymore because that’s a horrible slang term for gay people in the UK!”

Me: “Okay, cool. What now?”

Them: “We’re called Pop ETC!”

Me: “Weird, but okay. Go on.”

Them: “We changed EVERY last thing that we sounded like on the last album!”

Me: “Wait, but I liked that albu..”

Them: “Thanks! Talk to you soon!”

I’ve just listened to this a few times in a row, and it turns out I like it a lot. It’s been confusing how this all went down with the name change and the odd secrecy beforehand and what not, but who cares. They’re good.

So, yeah.  

This was pretty much my reaction too. I was confused when suddenly I was getting updates ‘POP ECT’ on twitter. For the record, I loved their old name and sound, but this isn’t bad.
